Placing Orders

For first time orders, please fax us a copy of your resale license along with our completed Resale Form and we will e-mail you a link to our Weekly Plant Availability Lists which can be used as an order form. Fax your order to our Customer Service Department. Our fax number is 1-888-883-5040.

  • Schubert Nursery must be notified before Noon (customer's time zone) at least two (2) business days prior to the scheduled ship date to cancel or reschedule an order. Orders cancelled or rescheduled after they have been packed or shipped will be charged a 10% restocking fee plus any freight charges incurred.
  • Schubert Nursery grows product in green and variegated ivies. Unless otherwise specified on orders, the variety of ivy that looks best will be shipped. Please be specific with your preferences when placing an order. As we use many varieties of ivy in our designs, we do not guarantee that items will always be available in the same ivy as previous orders.
  • Please be aware that due to high volume order cut-off times may vary,especially during holiday periods.

Payment Methods

  • First time orders may be paid by credit card or secured check, money order or cashier's check. Subsequent orders may be paid by credit card or check. Any COD order over $500 must be paid by secured check, money order or cashier's check.
  • COD orders are charged an additional fee. See "Shipping" for more information.
  • Note: There is a $25 fee on all returned checks.

Shipping

  • All products become the property of the customer when they leave the SNI warehouse.
  • Plants may not be protected against adverse weather conditions. Schubert Nursery and the freight carriers explicitly disclaim any responsibility for damages due to weather. Only temperature controlled freight carriers are insured against such damage.
  • Please count and inspect all boxes carefully upon delivery. If you notice damage to the boxes, have the driver record it in their delivery log before you sign for the shipment. Contact our Claims Department within 24 hours to report any discrepancies or damage.
  • FedEx Ground Shipping Rates:
    Net Order Amount = Freight Charges
    $150 - $250 = 20%
    $251 - $400 = 17%
    $401 - $700 = 15%
    $701 and up = To Be Determined
  • Freight charges will be applied at the time the order is placed based on the rate chart above.
  • Orders over $700 will have freight method and charges determined by a Schubert Nursery freight specialist. LTL truck shipment may be an alternative.
  • COD Orders are subject to a $10.00 flat fee per order on UPS and FedEx Ground.

LTL Truck Shipments

  • All truck shipments will go out "Freight Collect" unless exceptions are approved with account manager. "Freight Prepaid" shipments will have freight charges determined by a freight specialist and will be subject to a $15.00 fee.
  • COD shipments will incur large COD fees from the freight carrier and must ship "Freight Collect."
  • Customer will be held responsible for any residential fees or other extra charges that occur during shipping. If the extra charges are not known at the time the order is placed, the customer will be billed separately on a later date, if shipped "Freight Prepaid."

Claims Procedure

  • As a courtesy to our customers, Schubert Nursery will file a claim with the freight carrier. In this circumstance, your credit will be limited by the amount allowed by the freight company. If you prefer to file a claim yourself, please contact us for the tracking numbers. Schubert Nursery cannot assume responsibility for damages caused by the freight carrier.
  • Credit will not be given for broken or cracked plastic pots.
  • Schubert Nursery cannot be held responsible for misunderstandings on orders taken over the phone. All phone orders are repeated to the customer, or a copy of the order is faxed to the customer unless the customer states that neither is necessary.
  • Plants may not be protected against adverse weather conditions. Schubert Nursery and freight carriers explicitly disclaim any responsibility for damages due to weather.
  • Customer assumes all risk of shipping herbs that will be boxed for longer than a day.
  • All credits are applied to future orders.

Plant Quality

Acceptance of an order does not guarantee availability of goods. All plants listed are subject to crop failures or shortages. Prices are subject to change without notice.
